One of our regular Thanksgiving guests is a recent MHS graduate, who was pretty sure when he left high school that he was not interested in a conventional degree. After a year of odd jobs which were not satisfying, he found the Aviation Maintenance Certificate program at NIC. He is really happy. In three semesters he'll have fulfilled requirements for a certificate in field that is in-demand everywhere. And he'll do it without mid-terms or lecture classes, the things he knew he wanted to avoid after high school. Before sitting down to eat our turkey, we went around the table and said what we were thankful for. This guest said "my program." If you know a student who is set on avoiding a traditional college path, you should check out this program and others like it at NIC, LCSC and Community Colleges of Spokane!
