Brainstorming Your Way Into A Great Application Essay
Do you have an application essay to write? Do you have no idea where to start? Palouse Pathways is here to help. Join us on Saturday, April 20 for a writing workshop geared toward helping you brainstorm your way into any application essay—for scholarships, college admissions, internships, and more. We’ll provide you with exercises, answer your questions, and conduct group activities that will help you get over the most difficult writing hurdle of all: fear of the blank page.
Who should attend this workshop: students who need to write an essay as part of an application for college admissions, scholarships, internships, or any other program that requires you to put words about yourself on a page.
What you’ll get: techniques to jumpstart your thinking, strategies for keeping track of your progress, and answers to questions about essay-writing.
Who you’ll be learning from: Jamie Flathers and Sarah Quallen, who hold graduate degrees in writing and English from the University of Idaho and have seven years of experience teaching college-level writing.
What you should bring: any prompts you know you’ll have to respond to, writing utensils, and gifts to lavish upon the presenters.
