Path to College for Ninth Grade Families/Pullman

  • Pullman High School Auditorium 510 Northwest Greyhound Way Pullman, WA, 99163 United States (map)

College is a long way off, but it’s a good idea to have a map to get there! We’ll give your family tools to start preparations for the college journey, including,

  • A timeline with key events for students and parents

  • Examples of all the different ways to do college

  • Tips for settling in and succeeding in high school

  • A framework to help find the colleges that will be affordable for your family. (They are out there! )

  • A plan for finding scholarships (you can start today!)

This event will feature a special guest:  Schynequa Hocking, M.Ed, College Bound Regional Officer for NorthEast Washington. Ms. Hocking will explain options for paying for college for students in the College Bound Scholarship Program.

The presentation will benefit all families, especially those:

  • concerned about paying for college

  • dreaming of attending elite schools

  • with first generation college students

  • unsure about how to get ready

  • who like to plan ahead, and/or

  • excited about the prospect of college

We encourage families to attend together, but students or parents are welcome to come on their own if that’s not possible.

We’ll have refreshments and a drawing for a $50 WinCo Gift Certificate!

Space for these events is limited, so please reserve yours now.

Hope to see you and your family there!
