At Palouse Pathways, our goal is to help students broaden their experiences and take meaningful steps toward college and career success. We encourage students in our Scholars Program to participate in Student Experience Opportunities (SEOs), which are experiences that promote exploration of college options, career paths, academic areas, or personal interests. These opportunities include:

  • College fly-in programs that allow students to visit campuses, meet faculty and students, and learn more about college life.

  • Summer programs focused on areas of interest including STEM, medicine, leadership, the arts, etc.

  • Internships and jobs that provide hands-on experience and insight into potential career paths.

  • Other opportunities including research programs, leadership conferences, and community engagement projects.

How we support students

  • Actively research and share relevant opportunities with students and families throughout the year. We always encourage students to pursue opportunities that are free or very low cost.

  • Provide individual guidance to help students find opportunities that align with their goals and interests.

  • Cultivate and maintain partnerships with programs to support student access.

  • Submit recommendation letters and serve as references.

  • Cover the cost of travel or program fees when possible, including plane tickets or attendance costs.
