FREE Career Exploration Course in Pullman

  • Neill Public Library 210 North Grand Avenue Pullman, WA 99163 United States (map)

Not sure what's next after high school? We've got great tools to help you find your way, whether it's college, trade school or straight to work (or all of the above).

Palouse Pathways’ Career Exploration Course was developed by career counseling professionals in 2019. Since students are inspired in different ways the course offers three different ways to approach the career inquiry:

  • YouScience is an online assessment tool that suggests possible careers based on student strengths and aptitudes. It also gives students access to a terrific database of career information. And BONUS: participating students will be able to access the YouScience tools for free even after high school and/or college!

  • SparkPath Challenge Cards use a “challenge mindset” to explore careers, for students who are looking to make an impact and find careers that will resonate in the future.

  • Wandering Map This well-regarded tool helps students explore their past positive experiences in and out of the classroom for pointers about the types of careers where they will thrive.

High school students in all grades are welcome! The course is GREAT for students in 9th and 10th Grades who want to explore future options! Parents may also attend with their students.

Palouse Pathways founder Peggy Jenkins will be returning to the Palouse to offer the Career Exploration Course, alongside new staff and program volunteers. She is excited to provide the tools for exploration to a new group of students.

Former Deary and Moscow resident Jenkins has a certificate in College Admissions Counseling from UCLA Extension and was recently awarded the Equity Access and Success Award for her work with Palouse Pathways from the National Association for College Admissions Counseling.

She now resides in Santa Fe, NM.
